UAF Launches New Air Filter Technology

SAUGET, IL - Universal Air Filter recently announced it will begin producing its 80 PPI Quadrafoam media with a UL 94 HF-1 rating, making them the only commercial air filter producer in this high porosity media class to meet the preferred self-extinguishing flame safety standards.
In order to meet the self-extinguishing flame requirement, UAF designed the media with a higher porosity to improve mist elimination, salt fog and water ingress in outdoor and other harsh environment applications. The 80 PPI media is designed for high dust arrestance applications because current high efficiency filters are typically too bulky for shrinking electrical enclosures and do not meet the self-extinguishing flame safety standards.

"The denser pore structure allows the 80 PPI media to be used in harsh environment applications and provides solutions for industrial applications where oil mist and other airborne particulates can penetrate the air streams and disrupt process equipment operation."
The 80 PPI Quadrafoam media is available for use in power generation, military, medical, computer networking and telecommunications industries and applications.
