Twin Air in Manassas has been recognized by Trane Inc. as one of the few HVAC service providers in Northern Virginia to qualify as Trane Comfort Specialists. The TCS program is a network of HVAC technicians recognized by Trane as foremost in the field, with a consistent record of quality and customer service.
The designation is by invitation only, and Trane chooses which providers to include. They base their decision on factors like reputation, which they can gauge not only from customer reviews, but also from the Trane representative in the area. The company wants to know that a dealer gives customers high satisfaction before letting them carry the Trane logo.
Continuing education is another important aspect, and TCS designation requires staying current with both Trane technology and with new technology in the wider industry.
“It is for the best of the best,” said Trane representative Taylor Thomas, adding that TCS dealers must be “at the forefront of technology.”
Customer service, for them, includes not only doing each job well, but also working out payment plans if needed. Taylor estimates that roughly 3 out of 5 heating and air conditioning businesses don’t offer any financing options.
In addition to a reputation for quality, Trane expects dealers to have a strong online presence, as they will be representing the company and the Trane brand. “We saw them as a positive investment,” Taylor said of the Twin Air team.
Trane Inc. has been an international leader in heating and air condition since 1913, and has supplied systems to such buildings as the Skydome in Toronto, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and the Channel Tunnel between France and England.
