Troux Technologies Announces Capital Asset Planning and Business Case Application for Metis Enterprise

Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 5, 2006 -- Troux Technologies, the leader in Enterprise Architecture (EA) and IT Governance software and services enabling Actionable EA, today announced the availability of an enhanced version of the Metis Capital Asset Planning and Business Case (CAPBC) application. CAPBC provides enterprise architects and investment planners a powerful tool for visualizing and analyzing the impacts of proposed investments on an agency's enterprise architecture. This capability dramatically improves the effectiveness of capital planning and investment control (CPIC) processes by producing OMB-compliant business cases for IT investments and properly evaluating investment impacts on enterprise architecture.
A component of the FBI has deployed and tested the new CAPBC capability with Metis Enterprise. CAPBC uses Metis Enterprise to provide enterprise-scale storage, automated data collection, enterprise-class reporting, and web-based user input and viewing. CAPBC can also be used without Metis Enterprise. The new version requires and takes full advantage of Troux's Metis Enterprise Architecture Framework (MEAF) which is Troux's best-practices data model for Actionable Enterprise Architecture. MEAF is specifically designed to enable Troux's high-impact EA applications such as CAPBC, Standards Management and Application Portfolio Optimization.
The new version of CAPBC will be demonstrated at Troux Directions 2006, Troux's annual user conference for business executives and EA practitioners being held on April 6-7 at the Reagan Building, Washington, D.C. Troux will demonstrate the CAPBC capability with the EA model repository in Metis Enterprise, the industry-leading enterprise architecture modeling and repository offering for government agencies and Global 1000 companies.

The new version of CAPBC supports the FEA FY07 Reference Models and supports the OMB exhibit 300 business case requirements including support for Exhibit 53B. Other enhancements include simplified navigation, improved analysis interface and improved FEA Reference model management. With CAPBC users can:
