TimBar Point of Purchase Facility Now Certified to BRC Global Standard

TimBar's Point of Purchase Division located in New Oxford, Pennsylvania is now certified to the BRC Global Standard.

The British Retail Consortium (BRC) together with the Institute of Packaging (IoP) created the BRC/IoP Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials establishing an internationally recognized packaging standard.

The BRC standard is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a program that aims to harmonize international food safety related standards with the support of the world’s top retailers, food and packaging manufacturers. GFSI recognition means TimBar can use the BRC global standard to meet the requirements of these major players under a single, internationally recognized food safety management system.

BRC Global Standards is a leading safety and quality certification program, used by over 23,000 certificated suppliers in 123 countries, with certification issued through a worldwide network of accredited certification bodies. The Standards guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfill their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer. BRC Global Standards are now often a fundamental requirement of leading retailers.

What does this standard provide?

*An independent assessment of a company’s product safety and quality systems, by an accredited third-party certification body.

*Public listing in the BRC Global Standards Directory and the use of the BRC logo.
