TimBar and Hasbro Awarded Three Design of the Times Awards
At the Shopper Marketing Expo on Oct 9, the Path to Purchase Institute announced winners of their annual Design of the Times Award competition. 50 judges from retail and CPG companies judged the nearly 230 entries. A special panel of judges convened at the Shopper Marketing Expo on Oct 7 to select the final winners for gold, silver and bronze, as well as one platinum winner in each category and one overall “Best of the Times” winner across all retail eight categories, which included drug, food, mass merchandising, consumer electronics, convenience, home center/hardware, sporting goods and specialty stores.The Design of the Times Gallery was connected to the trade show floor of the Shopper Marketing Expo and showcased the actual displays and activations for all finalist entries. Most entries were fully merchandised and set up to mimic a true in-store setting. Judges were able to carefully review each entry and can closely interact with it before casting their final scores.
This year TimBar Packaging Display’s Point of Purchase Division walked away with 3 DOT awards! All were designed and manufactured for Hasbro. The Hasbro Furby Endcap and Hasbro Avengers Hero In-Aisle POS took Gold in the Mass Merchandising category while the Hasbro Furby Pallet was recognized with a Bronze award.
