Ticona to Host Free Technology Day on Molded Part Quality and Performance on May 21

Ticona, the engineering polymers business of Celanese Corporation, is hosting a free Technology Day for molders interested in resolving part quality issues. The seminar will be held from 8 to 5 p.m. on May 21, Tuesday, at its headquarters in Florence, Ky.

Developed by RJG Inc., the international leader in injection molding training, technology and resources headquartered in Traverse City, Mich., the seminar is designed to give molders key systematic processing strategies and advanced processing technologies that will allow them to consistently manufacture the highest quality parts.

As part of the “Are Quality Issues Driving You Crazy?” seminar, Glen Embry at RJG will discuss several injection molding topics including:

• Controlling the injection molding process using cavity pressure technology

• Automated part containment using cavity pressure sensors

• Decoupled II Decoupled III processing strategies

• eDART System™

• Benefits of a comprehensive training program

• What happens in the cavity stays in the part

• The four key plastics variables

• What is the real cost of quality?

• Monitoring and containment strategies

• Proper mold development techniques

Embry will be joined during the seminar by Jim DiVita, R&D process and design engineer at Ticona. DiVita will provide insights into how Ticona helps global customers achieve the desired part quality and performance with an integrated solutions approach that includes material selection, part and tooling design and materials processing.

Anyone responsible for the development and manufacturing of plastic parts, or directly involved in part quality issues, can register online for this free Technology Day, which is at Ticona, 8040 Dixie Highway, in Florence, part of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky metropolitan area.
