The New Line of Recycled Gloves by RECYGLOVE
August 1, 2007 (Chicago, Ill.) - RECYGLOVE(TM), a new division of Illinois Glove Company and trusted glove maker for over 88 years, is blazing a new path in glove innovation by introducing its RECYGLOVE line this fall. Made entirely from recycled materials, these gloves offer comfort, protection and durability, while helping the environment.
A combination of multi-use functionality with attractive, durable design and materials, the new RECYGLOVES are made 100% recycled materials and can be used for a variety of activities like hiking, biking, running, carpentry and gardening. While protecting hands from debris and other elements, they also provide a level of warmth and comfort.
The new glove line is a testament to Illinois Glove Company's commitment to the environment. "We saw an opportunity to develop a line of gloves that reduce pollution and waste. By recycling post-industrial fibers, we have created comfortable, well made gloves that can be used for a variety of everyday activities at a reasonable price," said Director of Sales and Marketing, Jay Shmikler. "We are utilizing materials that would otherwise be discarded into landfills."
The RECYGLOVE line features three distinct styles: Terry Gloves, Knit Gloves and Canvas Gloves. All styles come in a Men's size and Women's size and are machine washable.
The Terry Gloves are made of 70% post-industrial cotton and 30% post-industrial polyester. A reversible design allows them to be worn on either hand. The soft terry is thick & warm and is perfect for hikes, walks and cold conditions. MSRP $3.99.
The Knit Gloves are made of 90% post-industrial polyester and 10% post-industrial acrylic. A reversible design allows them to be worn on either hand. These gloves keep hands warm on cool days. They are great for running, biking and gardening. MSRP $1.99.
The Canvas Gloves are made of 65% post-industrial cotton and 35% post-industrial polyester. The extra thick canvas is strong for work & gardening. They are great for painting, carpentry and heavy duty work. MSRP $3.99.
