The Future of Business Evident at Electro E-Biz Forum 2006

Arlington, VA- October 4, 2006 - With record attendance, the Electro E-Biz Forum 2006 focused on connecting, collaborating and capitalizing with the use of eBusiness technologies.

The opening keynote presentation, "Aligning with a Continuum of Change," by Ed Barlow, President, Creating the Future, Inc., posed the question, "From emerging technologies to changes in customer interests, tremendous opportunities and threats often begin as weak signals from the periphery. How good is your organization at sensing, interpreting, and acting on these signals?"

Many seminar speakers throughout the Forum referenced Barlow's remarks. Resistance to change is a signal to pay attention, cited Barlow, with four key factors that support our decision making processes: lifestyle, business practices, society and our community. The opening keynote address set the pace for the entire event.

"Ed Barlow's presentation really nailed the essence of the message the Forum was driving - projecting what collaborative action must be taken to align business strategies in a global market place that is in a constant state of change" said Mike Rioux, President, IDEA.

Attendees participated in educational sessions that were designed to provide insight into the top business and technology solutions to help increase productivity and drive down supply chain costs. "While the event was focused - it had some good variety that enhanced the experience and proved to be an excellent source for information. Coming from a web background - I was especially pleased to see the focus on eBusiness present," said Robert Sieger, Manager Global eBusiness Development, Panduit Corporation.

In addition to Barlow, the Electro E-Biz Forum 2006 schedule included the following keynote presentations:

o "MDM: A Critical Component to Your Company's Business Success" - Will Templeton, NetWeaver MDM Solution Engineer, SAP America

o "Survival of the Fittest: How to Escape Business Extinction as IT and Business Continue to Merge" - Evan Gaddis, President, National Electrical Manufacturers Association

The Electro E-Biz Forum layout provided the vehicle for executives and business managers, product managers, sales and marketing and e-Commerce managers an opportunity to be surrounded with business experts and the industry's leading e-Commerce technology companies.

Sixteen technology organizations participated in the second annual Tech Center, where Activant Solutions, Boomi Software, eCredit, eMobileCat, epaCUBE, DATAgility, Datalliance, DISA, Full Tilt Solutions, Enterworks Inc., IDEA, Infor Global Solutions, Intuit Eclipse, SAP America, TMMG and Trade Service Corporation showcased and demonstrated their products and services that drive the supply chain.

The Tech Center Passport, an incentive-based supplement, made its Forum debut. Attendees received stamps for each vendor they visited and three Apple iPods were given to the winners: Neil Banoff, Phillips Advance; Steve Segerstrom, Intermatic Inc.; and Sharon Todd, Western Extralite.

The Electro E-Biz Forum 2006 was jointly hosted by IDEA; the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED; the Electro-Federation Canada (EFC); the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA); and the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association (NEMRA).

The Electro E-Biz Forum 2007 will be held on September 18 - 20 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
