Terex AWP Integrates New Technology in Parts Ordering

REDMOND, WA (March 3, 2009) - In order to enhance customer efficiency during parts ordering, Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP), a business segment of the Terex Corporation (NYSE:TEX), announces their participation in the SmartEquip(TM) Network. By utilizing this application, Terex AWP customers will now have the ability to easily order Genie® and Terex® parts along with other manufacturers' items. This service is initially available to North American customers, to be followed by a global rollout later in 2009.
"Our investment in this new technology gives the fleet users of our equipment a convenient, interactive parts ordering tool to ensure their equipment remains up and running," said Siva Balakrishnan, Vice President and General Manager of Global Services, Terex AWP. "We are implementing this system in response to customer feedback and believe that this technology will streamline customer support and electronic procurement of Genie® and Terex® parts."
Adoption of this technology provides one location for participating construction equipment manufacturers, rental dealers and fleet owners to connect when purchasing parts. Terex AWP customers utilizing this application will also be able to view up-to-date product schematics, parts availability and price information for Terex AWP products.
Customers not subscribed to the SmartEquip(TM) network may still order parts via the Serial Number Smart Parts Lookup System. Registered users can access the system through the Genie website at www.gogenielift.com.
