TelCove Teams Up With See Your Troops Foundation, Donates T1 Connectivity To Unite Soldiers With Their Loved Ones This Veteran's Day

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 7 -- TelCove, a leading provider of business critical telecommunications services to enterprise customers and carriers, today announced that it is making a significant statewide corporate donation of T1 connectivity to the See Your Troops Foundation. See Your Troops is a non-profit organization whose ultimate goal is to provide free state-of-the- art audio and video communications between every remote deployed member of the military and their family using videophones from GlobaLINX(TM).

Pennsylvania will become the first state in the country where the See Your Troops Foundation will implement a network of videophone stations, enabled through TelCove's donation of T1 connectivity. These stations will be located in National Guard armories in Philadelphia, Scranton, Harrisburg, Mt. Pleasant, Johnstown and Annville and will enable free video or phone communication between reservists and their families. The program will formally kick off on Veteran's Day (November 11, 2005) at Fort Indiantown Gap in Annville, with the remaining locations active by Thanksgiving. At the Veteran's Day event, any member of the military or their families can visit the Fort Indiantown Gap armory located at P-9-61 Stahr Avenue and call anyone in the United States and Canada, free of charge. See Your Troops will be supplying both videophones and standard audio phones for visitors to use to contact their loved ones in the military.

"Every year, on November 11th, we recognize the service and commitment of our men and women in uniform," said Jim Hopper, Executive Director of See Your Troops Foundation. "Too frequently these individuals must sacrifice quality time with their families in their service to our country. It is our goal and privilege to help alleviate the pain of long-distance relationships by connecting people through technology. We are grateful for TelCove's generous donation, which will make a real difference in the lives of our soldiers and their loved ones."

"It is an honor to donate broadband Internet connectivity to enable audio and video communication between soldiers and their families," said Joe McCourt, Regional Vice President for TelCove. "We hope other telecommunications providers across the country will join forces with the See Your Troops Foundation to fulfill their vision of bringing families closer together through technology."

TelCove is donating 1.5 Mbps of dedicated Internet access on an ongoing basis to each of six National Guard armories in Pennsylvania: Philadelphia, Scranton, Harrisburg, Mt. Pleasant, Johnstown, and Annville. These dedicated connections are provisioned over TelCove's T1 facilities to provide superior quality integrated audio and video communications for this important effort.

The Pennsylvania See Your Troops Foundation rollout is a first step in an ambitious plan to connect soldiers stationed in the U.S. and around the world with their families. The event kickoff on November 11th, 2005 will also be an opportunity for military members to request videophone hookups for the upcoming holidays. If they have family and friends serving at other bases in the U.S. or overseas, it may be possible to have a videophone installed at their location and be able to connect families throughout the world during the holiday season.

About See Your Troops Foundation

Based in Rochester, New York, the See Your Troops Foundation (http://seeyourtroops.com/) is a not-for-profit organization that relies on individual and corporate donations to fulfill its mission of enabling communication between our brave men and women in uniform and their loved ones. The organization was established for the love of our country and great admiration for the strength, courage and sacrifices made by military members past, present and future.

The strategic plan for See Your Troops is built upon developing a network of video communications for our valued military personnel and their family. Video communication allows an individual to not only speak to their loved ones but to also see them. The organization feels that American soldiers deserve the right to see their son or daughter's first tooth, sports uniform or other special occasions. Today's GlobaLINX (TM) technology has afforded the organization with their opportunity. See Your Troops Foundation is committed to bringing American military families closer together on a worldwide basis.
