Tacony Kicks Off New Community Engagement Initiative

Employees from Tacony Corporation, parent company of Tornado, Powr-Flite, CleanMax and Truvox, recently launched a community engagement initiative to support local non-profit organizations. Cleaning for the Cause is a monthly effort that allows associates from the Commercial Floor Care division to donate their time, plus a gift of cleaning equipment, to help deep clean organizations that are busy serving North Texas communities. In addition to completing cleaning and restoration projects, Tacony’s volunteer team will provide expert training on the use and care of cleaning equipment to each organization’s operations staff and volunteers.

Led by Director of Marketing Zack Smith, Cleaning for the Cause supports one of Tacony’s core values – building “family-centric” relationships with customers, suppliers, associates, and the community. The initiative kicked off in May at Mission Arlington to clean a facility that houses groups of volunteers in town to serve others and will be followed by projects at Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth in June.  Smith projects donations of equipment and labor to reach over $100,000 annually and will encourage Tacony’s customers to make their own donation to support these hard-working organizations.

“What Tacony is offering is amazing and truly represents what community means,” said Judi Glover, Director of Volunteer Engagement for Presbyterian Night Shelter.  “I’m excited to see where this relationship goes.”
