Taco, Other Manufacturers Form Hydronics Industry Alliance
Taco, Inc., and 21 other heating equipment manufacturers have formed the Hydronics Industry Alliance to provide accurate, reliable and up-to-date information to builders, contractors and consumers about the technology, uses and benefits of hydronic heating, the group announced recently.
The group is a coalition of members of the Hydronics Institute Divison of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Assn. (GAMA) and is chaired by Richard Simons, director, residential combustion controls, Honeywell International.
Hydronic heating systems have attracted growing interest and strong sales from builders, contractors and home owners, but sufficient information on the technology has been difficult to find.
The Alliance plans to launch a new web site, myhomeheating.com, before the end of the year. It will include basic, educational information about hydronic heating for homeowners, architects, engineers, building and hearting contractors, up-to-date information on the benefits of hydronic heating, many applications, case studies, information on Hydronic equipment installation training, and related information. In addition, all alliance members will be listed, along with links to their web sites.
