Tustin, California (USA)

After thoroughly reviewing Syagen's submissions regarding its new Guardian ETP and its mass spectrometry detection technology, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has provided the company with an official designation for developmental testing and evaluation, under the U.S. Safety Act.

This acknowledges the promising nature of Syagen's technology and provides liability indemnification in order to promote this technologies in the battle against terrorism. This designation extends to deployments made in conjunction with the U.S. transportation security administration and the transport security laboratory for acceptance and developmental testing at U.S. Airports.

"This is an important step along our path to acceptance as a certified device for use at U.S. Airports. Syagen is proud of its role, as a technology leader developing the next generation technology for explosives detection, in support of the U.S. Dept of Homeland Security's mission to protect the country's traveling public and its aviation transportation infrastructure" comments Dr. Jack Syage.
