Suburban Manufacturing, Inc. Will Break Ground for its New Facility
Monticello, MN Tuesday, October 18, 2011...... Suburban Manufacturing, Inc. will break ground for its new 42,000 square foot manufacturing building at 3:30 p.m. at the site of the new facility on the corner of Chelsea Road and Dalton Avenue in Monticello.
The building was designed by Lon Negen of Negen Associates out of Cold Spring, MN and will be built by local builder, Lenny Kalway from Kalway Construction. Located on a beautifully landscaped campus, Suburban's new manufacturing facility will feature bright, open offices, company training and product demonstration rooms, along with large, manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing areas.
Suburban's owners, Brad and Mary Barger, purchased the land for the project from the City of Monticello and are very happy to be able to stay in Monticello. Having had their business in Monticello for over 20 years, they felt strong ties to this community and were thankful for the support the City has given to them. The Barger's were quick point out that 75% of project costs will be spent with sub contractors within a 10 mile radius of Monticello. "From the beginning, we knew we wanted to stay in Monticello," said Mary Barger. "It's such a great community in which to grow your business."
