Stunning HBC Innovations for the Safe and Convenient Control of Cranes and Machines

Camera assistance with radiomatic® photon offers safe and precise machine operation in areas with limited view – spectrum Ex with NEC 500 / 505 approval is the perfect choice for demanding applications in hazardous areas.

HBC-radiomatic, one of the world's leading suppliers of radio controls for industrial applications, has launched several innovations over the last few months. A major highlight is the live camera assistance with radiomatic® photon. "This new feature enables the clear display of live camera images on the radio control and can work with several cameras simultaneously" says Jeff Allan, CEO of HBC-radiomatic Inc., the US branch of the German-based company. They can be installed anywhere on the machine or in the working environment and transmit live images to the control unit's 3.5" display, with a range of up to 150 meters (approx. 165 yards).

With radiomatic® photon, operators benefit from several decisive advantages: they always have a good view of the working area, even if there are dead spots or other obstacles. "They can also detect potential dangers and react accordingly", emphasizes Jeff Allan, "and work becomes considerably safer". In addition, radiomatic® photon offers precise operation for complicated driving maneuvers, such as navigating equipment through narrow paths or inaccessible areas. This innovation also improves efficiency as it allows operators to save time and energy during surveillance tasks and machine operations because they always have a view of the situation with the camera images.

spectrum Ex: comprehensive equipment with many customization options: For the safe and convenient control of demanding applications in hazardous locations, HBC-radiomatic now presents the spectrum Ex radio control with NEC 500 / 505 approval. "spectrum Ex can be equipped with up to 3 HBC joysticks or up to 8 HBC linear levers and comes standard with a split-screen LCD display for the clear indication of safety-relevant feedback information such as crane load or oil temperature", says Jeff Allan. In addition, the transmitter is available with many other operating elements, for instance toggle or rotary switches, push buttons and a two-step enabling switch. For the perfect adaptation, matched to the customer's needs, spectrum Ex offers numerous HBC Smart Options, for example radiomatic® report. With the merlin® TUC (Transmitter User Card), this new feature protects the machine from unauthorized use and enables the gathering of detailed operational data. For the quick activation of a spare transmitter in case of a broken radio control, spectrum Ex comes standard with the clever radiomatic® iLOG key, reducing downtimes to a minimum. spectrum Ex can be combined with various HBC radio receivers, thus allowing for the connection to virtually all common serial interfaces.
