Stratos Selected as Master Distributor of Thrane & Thrane Products
BETHESDA, MD, and LYNGBY, Denmark, May 29 /-- Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB) and Thrane & Thrane today announced they have entered into an agreement establishing Stratos as a Master Distributor of products manufactured by Thrane & Thrane.
Stratos is the leading global provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions. Thrane & Thrane is the world's leading manufacturer of terminals and land earth stations for global mobile satellite and radio communication.
Under the agreement, Stratos will sell Thrane & Thrane's land mobile and maritime products to Stratos-appointed indirect sales channels, thus helping to bring those products to new vertical and geographic markets worldwide. Those products are ideally suited to support Inmarsat mobile satellite services that include mini-M, GAN, Fleet, BGAN and FleetBroadband.
As part of its global distribution efforts, Stratos will place special emphasis on bringing Thrane & Thrane products to Latin America and Asia. Stratos will also use its vertical marketing expertise to extend penetration of Thrane & Thrane products to the emerging local media, first responder, financial services and telemedicine markets.
