SteelCloud Announces Federal Sales Channel Expansion


Increased focus on federal integrator space

HERNDON, Va., Sept. 12 / -- SteelCloud, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCLD), a leading engineering and manufacturing integrator of network centric and embedded computing solutions today announced it has expanded on its sales presence nationally through a manufacturer's representative sales channel. This new sales capability is set to supplement SteelCloud's existing public sector sales force by acting as a commission-based field sales team that positions SteelCloud services and products as custom IT solutions.

"We believe our alliance with these independent sales firms will generate greater market penetration as well as provide additional insight into market trends, providing another tool for increasing revenue generation within our Integrator segment."

SteelCloud's move toward the use of manufacturer's representatives signals a strong reaffirmation to one of the Company's core business areas - engineering and manufacturing specialized servers for major federal contractors. Currently, the Company has signed agreements with three firms - NewTec Representatives, Northern Computer Sales and James R. Johnson & Associates. These agreements provide SteelCloud with first line indirect, federal sales representation in 20 states in the Mid-Atlantic, New England, Mid-West and Great Lakes regions.

The new agreements will be beneficial for both SteelCloud and the representative firms. The expanded field presence supplies SteelCloud with increased access to sales opportunities within nationally recognized federal contracting companies. In turn, by marketing and selling SteelCloud's solutions oriented services, manufacturer representatives leverage the synergy created by selling related products and services.

SteelCloud is currently seeking manufacturer's representatives for the Southeast and West Coast regions and plans for new representation agreements to be signed over the coming months.
