Spheric Technologies Signs Exclusive North & South America Distribution Agreement with China's Syno-Therm for Industrial Microwave Furnaces

Phoenix, AZ - Spheric Technologies, Inc., marketer of patented microwave powdered metal processing systems, and producer of advanced oxides and other ceramic powders, announced it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement for industrial microwave furnaces produced by China's Changsha Syno-Therm Co., Ltd., covering all of North and South America.

Syno-Therm is China's largest microwave furnace producer, with current marketing operations in China, Japan, India and much of Europe. Based in Hunan Province, Syno-Therm offers a full line of continuous and batch industrial units as well as laboratory units. These systems are widely used in metallurgy and in the ceramic and chemical industries, especially for powder metallurgy, carbides, magnetic materials, structural ceramics, functional ceramics, porcelains and various chemical raw materials. More information is available at longtech.cn.

"Our equipment is particularly valued for high-temperature processing of advanced materials, with high efficiency, energy economization and environmental protection," said Syno-Therm Chairman Dr. Hu Peng. "We have great confidence in our new U.S. partner, Spheric Technologies, and look forward to their introduction of our furnaces throughout the Americas."

Spheric Technologies President Joseph Hines noted that his company has already begun marketing advanced Syno-Therm furnaces together with sublicenses for microwave sintering (the process of binding powders at high temperature, without melting), based on technology patents awarded to Penn State's world-recognized Microwave Processing and Engineering Center and licensed exclusively to Spheric Technologies. "Syno-Therm furnaces are ideal for any company seeking to gain the full advantages of microwave sintering. These include reduction of energy use by up to 80%, at 1/10th the throughput time, compared to conventional sintering (according to a report by Penn State and Japan's National Institute for Fusion Science).

"Syno-Therm is one of the few producers of high-temperature industrial microwave equipment," Hines added. "We're delighted to be handling their excellent product line."
