Fremont CA. September 18, 2017: Specialized Coating Services expects to open their second facility in Billerica, MA, in mid-January of 2018. Realizing the need for professional conformal coating and potting services on the east coast, Co-founders Rick Ramirez and Kim Atkins have spent the last few years researching various areas on the East Coast and have finally located the perfect 13,000 square foot facility in Billerica, MA.
The facility is currently being equipped with the latest in robotic and conventional spray systems, plasma treatment, cleaning and ionic test equipment, potting and encapsulation meter mix systems and more. “We’ve been providing conformal coating services to our Midwest and East Coast accounts for over fifteen years. By opening a facility closer to our customers on the Midwest and East coast, it will enable us to provide quicker turns and will reduce freight costs. In addition, the need for our services in these areas continues to grow.” stated Rick. Kim states, “Certifications – currently in California and planned for mid-2018 in Massachusetts: AS 9100D, ISO 9001:2015, ITAR, ANSI/ESD S20.20, with NADCAP late 2018. With these certifications, our customers know that their boards will be handled in compliance with the latest practices and procedures”.
