SMS@ctive Continues Expansion of Chinese and Global Gateway Operations


Effective September 15, 2006, SMS@ctive opened its Beijing, China office managed by Lijin (Jimmy) Zhao, Vice President for Chinese Operations.

SMS@ctive continues to expand its network of gateways through our partnership with YouShi Telecom and with letters of intent to enter into service agreements with Animatele Inc. of Moscow, Russia and TynTec Ltd. of the United Kingdom.

TynTec Ltd. of the UK, has a coverage in 140 countries, using 340 International gateways network.

SMS@ctive expects to have its messaging service fully operational within China on or before the end of October, 2006. The Company will be using Animatele Gateway services of Moscow, Russia to expand its service locally and internationally.

On October 16, 2006 SMS@ctive entered into an agreement in principle with the Bahamian singing star "Sweet Emily", to add her music to its Wireless Music repertoire.

YouShi provides service to General Electric (China), GE's financial and management systems, and also provides service in the Enterprise SMS solutions, Finance, Materials Flow, manufacturing, government, IT sector etc.

YouShi Telecom has technical co-operation with the top 3 telecom companies in China, namely China NetCom (CNC), China Mobile and China Telecom. YouShi Telecom utilises the 3 major telecom networks for Data Services, wireless market promotion and SMS Gateway networks across the country.

On September 20, 2006 SMS@ctive entered into a revenue-sharing agreement with a Beijing Jiexun Infomation Technology Co, Ltd (BJI) based in Beijing, People's Repulic of China (PRC). BJI is a web based applications company owned and operated by former executives of Chinese Mobile telecom companies, having business relationships with many regional and national carriers. BJI will assist in SMS@ctive's technology commercialization and SMS Mobile solutions in the PRC and several other regions of the world.

On October 12, 2006 SMS@ctive entered into a service agreement with a Beijing based Chinese Service Provider (SP) - Beijing YouShi Telecommunication Technology Co. Ltd. YouShi Telecommunication Technology is a nation-wide SMS service provider in China. It provides SMS (Short messaging service) and value added services in addition to several other services to a number of businesses and institutional entities.

Wireless Music: The China wireless market scale surged 110% from RMB 750 million in 2003 to RMB 1.58 billion in 2004, and is expected to be RMB 7 billion by 2008. China's ever expanding Mobile Wireless market has already exceeded 431 million subscribers. GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) has reached 2.066 billion subscribers World-wide, or 82% of the Global market, with 1000 new GSM network subscribers per minute.

China Mobile Communications Corporation (China Mobile) announced on Thursday that the number of the company's subscribers increased by 25.77 million in the first half of 2006, bringing the total number to 274 million by June 30.

Wang Jianzhou, president of China Mobile, said at a press conference on Thursday that the company's net profit in the first half of 2006 reached 30.17 billion YUAN (US$3.78 billion), up 25.5 percent over last year's same period.
