SME to Present Innovation Conference on New Product Development and Manufacturing
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Silicon Valley Chapter will present a one-day Innovation Conference for Engineers, "Latest Technologies and Challenges for Product Development and Manufacturing," on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. The seminar will run in conjunction with the Northern California Design-2-Part Show being held May 18 & 19, 2011, also at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
The sixth annual technical conference presented by SME will explore new resources, materials, and processes to help product developers speed up, develop, and manufacture products in the competitive new world. Attendees will learn about new applications in composites and carbon nanotube materials, prototyping, direct digital manufacturing, and much more. In addition, there will be keynotes from Space Systems/Loral and SEMI Photovoltaics (PV) Group, and panel discussions on emerging technologies in medical devices and entrepreneurship.
