Seegrid Announces Bastian Material Handling Joins Founding Distributor Program for Sales, Service and Support of Its Industrial Mobile Robots

Bastian Offers Customers Innovative, Flexible, Cost-Effective Transport Solutions in Warehouse, Distribution and Manufacturing Facilities

Pittsburgh - May 22, 2008 - Seegrid Corporation (www.seegrid.com), the premier provider of industrial mobile robots for the material handling industry, today announced Bastian Material Handling (BMH) has joined Seegrid's Founding Distributor Program, a distribution network of dealers and resellers who are leaders in technology, in their depth and breadth of product offerings, and in providing outstanding service and support. Bastian joins Seegrid's eight other Founding Distributors: Amerden AGVS, Atlas Lift Truck and Rental, Engineered Solutions - A Division of Carolina Tractor, Hy-tek Material Handling, Inc., J.H. Ryder Machinery Limited, Morrison Industrial Equipment Company, PennWest Industrial Trucks, LLC, and Wisconsin Lift Truck Corporation.

"BMH is a leader in helping customers increase their productivity through proven automation, innovative material handling system solutions, and sound operating procedures," said Domenic Niro, Director of Sales, Seegrid. "For Bastian Seegrid represents an opportunity to offer a compelling automation ROI to customers. Our machines allow companies to introduce material handling automation one robot at a time or system wide, are ready to work in under an hour, provide much greater flexibility and are priced well below a typical AGV."

Seegrid's Founding Distributors currently sell and support the GT3 tugger / tow tractor (3000 lb. capacity) and the GP8 pallet truck (8000 lb. capacity). Seegrid's G Series vehicles are industrial mobile robots designed to free up skilled employees by taking care of non value added work such as pulling flatbed carts, delivering pallets and positioning supplies in tight areas. They use no wires, guides or lasers but instead use an on-board vision navigation system which allows them to learn, store and travel 16 miles of routes. The robots' WalkThroughThenWorkTM technology allows an operator to train them straight off the truck in under an hour.

"BMH was very impressed with how quickly the Seegrid robot can be programmed and put into service by our clients," said Gregg Durham, Regional Manager - Indiana, Bastian Material Handling.

BMH is one of the country's largest independent material handling system integrators. The company specializes in well-engineered, value-driven system solutions in the manufacturing and distribution environments. BMH brings together best-of-breed equipment from the world's leading suppliers with in-house engineering, controls and project management to ensure its customers' strategic business goals are met.

About Seegrid Corporation
Seegrid (www.seegrid.com) brings a new class of affordable industrial mobile robots to the material handling industry that operate reliably and safely in dynamic warehouse, distribution and manufacturing environments. Seegrid's robots differ from today's AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) in that the company's IMR technology is the first to provide early-stage capabilities of autonomous robot behavior with Sense, Move, Analyze, Interact and Repeat capabilities. The result--AGV-like competence but with greater flexibility at a considerably lower cost. IMR-enabled robots provide WalkThroughThenWork(TM) capabilities, providing an operator with the ability to simply and easily instruct the robot along a desired path, adding behaviors such as horns and stop stations, usually in minutes. Seegrid robots literally come straight off the truck, an operator quickly inputs the path and the robot is immediately productive.
