SD Myers Announces the International Latin American Transformer Maintenance Symposium, to Be Held on June 21st in Punta Cana, DR


TALLMADGE, Ohio, March 30, 2011 - Recently surveyed industry leaders in Latin America have declared that there is an overwhelming thirst for knowledge about power transformer maintenance in the region.

With rapidly growing economies and the increased demand for new infrastructure in Latin America, reliable electric power has become paramount. Out of this growing need for knowledge, the International Latin American Transformer Maintenance Symposium has been born.

The event will be held on June 21st, 2011 at the Grand Paradise Bavaro Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Electric power industry experts from across the globe will come together for presentations, networking and open discussions centered on intelligent transformer management solutions, reliability and maintenance.

Based on responses from key industry leaders surveyed by SD Myers, four themed modules have been developed for the symposium. The following is a topical outline of the discussions:

Theme 2: Condition Assessment

Theme 4: Solutions & Technologies
This session is devoted to what it takes to extend the life of your critical assets- including remote monitoring, testing trigger points, PCB solutions and planning for a new unit.
