Sandmeyer Steel Company Names South American Representative


PHILADELPHIA, PA - January 16, 2009

Sandmeyer Steel Company has announced the appointment of Carbinox Industria e Comercio Ltda. as the Company's Representative Office and Sales Support Center in Brazil. Carbinox, with a facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will assist Sandmeyer in penetrating the South American market for stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products.
Carbinox's Director, Paulo Moraes Correa, and Sandmeyer Steel's General Manager - Sales, John M. Curley, finalized the agreement during Curley's recent visit to Brazil.

Family owned and managed for three generations, Sandmeyer Steel Company is recognized as a leading producer of stainless steel and nickel alloy plate products used in the process industries equipment market.
