Salesforce.com Named Entrepreneurial Company of the Year by Harvard Business School Association of Northern California

Salesforce.com Selected for Its Position as a Category Leader in the CRM Market
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Salesforce.com
(NYSE: CRM), the technology and market leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced that the Harvard Business Association of Northern California has named salesforce.com the 2005 Entrepreneurial Company of the Year. The award was presented to salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff on October 24th.

The association presents the Entrepreneurial Company of the Year award annually to accomplished Bay Area companies that are category leaders, and that are managing well in a high-growth environment. Past winners include Apple, Yahoo!, eBay, Juniper Networks, and others.

"Salesforce.com has experienced tremendous growth in its subscriber and customer base over the past few years, and is the clear leader in the CRM market," said Sean Jacobsohn, president of the Harvard Business School Association of Northern California. "Salesforce doesn't stop moving when it comes to constantly innovating its product and creating new applications that the market demands."

Founded in 1999, salesforce.com launched a revolution in the enterprise software world, eliminating the need for expensive and lengthy implementations of premise-based customer relationship management applications. With continued growth in both revenues and customer deployments, salesforce.com went public in June, 2004. The company continues to redefine both the CRM industry and on-demand computing, most recently with last months' introduction of AppExchange, the first on-demand application sharing service.

"Even while we introduce new features and solutions to our customers at a rapid pace, we're conscious of providing them the best possible service, and listening to what they tell us about the value of CRM to their businesses," said Benioff. "The Harvard Business School Association has recognized the hard work we've done, and continue to do, to stay at the top of the CRM market."
