Richardson Electronics Named Top International Distributor for Mainland China in Recent Nationwide Survey
ESM-China readers rate firm among Top 10 in all franchised distributor categories
July 17, 2007 - La Fox, Illinois...Richardson Electronics, Ltd. (NASDAQ: RELL) announced today it recently received its highest ranking ever in a reader's survey of preferred distributors conducted by Electronics Supply & Manufacturing-China.
Richardson Electronics was ranked second overall among International Distributors in the annual survey of purchasing professionals. Richardson also placed in the Top 10 in all four Franchised Distributor categories: Best Supply Capacity, Best Technical Support, Best Logistics Service and Best e-Commerce.

The purpose of the annual survey is to examine the current state of mainland China's electronic components distribution market, and to provide an overview of customer preferences in selecting a distributor. For this year's survey, ESM-China polled 1,028 purchasing professionals who work for leading mainland China electronics manufacturing companies in the communications, consumer electronics and industrial industries.
