Refractron Technologies Names New President
Scott Bartkowski has been promoted to president of Refractron Technologies Corp. Bartkowski joined the Newark, NY company in 2001 as a research and development engineer. He was promoted to manager of structural ceramics, vice president of operations and general manager before assuming the presidency.
Bartkowski earned a BS and MS degree in ceramic engineering from Alfred University and an MBA from West Virginia Wesleyan College. Before joining Refractron, he was with Corhart Refractories in West Virginia.
Refractron, which is ISO9001 certified, is a major international manufacturer of engineered ceramics. The company's porous ceramics are used in filtration, diffusion, analytical and vacuum applications. Its structural ceramics are specified for aggressive applications that require severe wear and corrosion resistance.
