Racine Federated Makes the Fastest Growing Private Company List

For 25 years, Inc. magazine ranked the 500 fastest growing private companies in America. This year was the first year the magazine expanded the list to create Inc. 5,000 and Racine Federated Inc. made the list. To be eligible, Racine Federated had to show prosperous growth in a three-year period, company success and creativity.

Two key factors that exemplify the company's progression are organic growth and acquisitions. Organic consisted of internal product development, aggressive sales and marketing programs; and the many flow measurements technology advancements through acquisitions have contributed toward the company's success.

Racine Federated, manufacturer of flow measurement systems and construction equipment was established in 1970 by the late John Erskine, Sr. and the late George Miller. They brought together a number of former Racine Hydraulics personnel and proceeded to assemble a diverse group of businesses and product lines. Today, Racine Federated products are sold under Blancett®, Flo-Tech®, Hedland®, Dynasonics(TM), Preso®, Wyco®, and Racine(TM) Vortex names.

In 2004, Racine Federated moved from two building to its current 160,000-square-foot structure. Part of moving to a new building was to consolidate all divisions under one roof to gain efficiencies. Preso was originally located in Plattsburg, New York and Blancett in Ft. Worth, Texas. Racine Federated employs approximately 120 employees at its Racine, WI location.
