R. P. Abrasives expands capabilities
Now able to do larger more complex parts
R. P. Abrasives & Machine Inc. (RPA) one of the leaders in metals and plastics finishing, located in the heart of New England has expanded its capabilities. RPA can now do deburring, polishing, bead blasting, mass finishing, (vibratory, high energy tumbling), passivating, and aqueous ultrasonic cleaning of larger and more complex parts and package these in a clean room environment. Even with the economic down turn RPA has been able to expand its capabilities, led in large part by their customer base and its need to have several operations done under one roof.
The first of these expansions was to their wash capabilities. A customer had come to them with a special cleaning specification on a new part that they where making. The part required ultrasonic cleaning with isopropyl alcohol in a clean environment and then have it double bagged. Another customer has asked for Passivation clean room packaging, so with these two customers in mind RPA has added clean room packaging to its capabilities.
With requests for special cleaning processes and added Passivation work RPA has also begun to add more and larger ultrasonic tanks to accommodate the needs of not only current customers, but to be able to allow expansion for new customers. RPA is now able to Passivate or clean parts up to 3ft x3ft x 2ft this has doubled, not only the quantity of work which RPA can do but the actual physical size of that work as well.
