Cedar Rapids, Iowa (July 2019) – Profol, a global leader in cast film and sheet, announces that its Cedar Rapids, Iowa, facility has been certified and is registered as meeting the requirements of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) code edition 8.0 for manufacture of food packaging.
The team at Profol Americas began the certification process in September 2018, and certification was received July 15, 2019, making it the first SQF-certified Profol site. The Cedar Rapids site scored a 96 out of 100 which is an “Excellent” SQF rating – the highest rating category possible. Profol also has a BRC-certified site in Greiz-Gommla, Germany to produce food-grade packaging film.
