Productionserver 7 Achieves RIP Certifications for HP Designjet L26500 and L28500 Printers

ColorGATE Digital Output Solutions, specialist for Color Management and outstanding RIP Software, again participated and succeeded in the international HP Designjet RIP Certification Program. The RIP Software family Productionserver 7 (PS7) achieved perfect results for the HP Designjet L26500 and L28500 Printer series.
ColorGATE PS7 was rated in the following test categories for the HP Designjet L26500 and L28500 Printer series: Printing Performance, Calibration Using Embedded Spectrophotometer, Media Flexibility, Printer Status, Printer Management and Job Management. For the HP Designjet L28500 Printer, ColorGATE PS7 was also rated in the Front Panel Preview and Color Stripe/Bar categories.

HP has published star ratings for ColorGATE PS7 on the HP Designjet L26500 solution page and L28500 Printers RIP compatibility website.
ColorGATE has been awarded the maximum three-star rating for its versatile Productionserver 7 RIP software solution in the 'Dual Sided Printing Support' test category (only category, providing a star rating). The other tested categories - rated either a pass or a fail - also were passed successfully by ColorGATE RIP Software Productionserver 7 (indicated by a green point in the table).
Succeeding in all categories, customers now have assurance that PS7 will enable them to take full advantage of the functionalities of the HP Designjet L26500 / L28500 Printer series.
Customers who use the HP Designjet L26500 Printer have the option to usePS7 HP Edition. Ideally designed to operate aa HP printer (Cat.1) while considering the printing needs of print service providers and small production environments. The RIP Software covers all areas of large-format printing (LFP) and offers the same high-quality components and excellent color management with optimum color replication and consistent reproduction as all PS7 RIP software. The ColorGATE product configurator helps customers find the best PS7 Edition for their needs and requirements. The HP Designjet L28500 (ColorGATE printer driver category Cat.2) is a 104" wide format device, feature-wise similar to the L26500.
Both the HP Designjet L26500 and L28500 Printers offer double-sided printing capabilities. Supporting this function, ColorGATE PS7 was awarded top marks in the 'Dual Sided Printing' category. This function enables precise dual sided printing of the material (e.g. banner) with minimal operator intervention and automated registration across sides, allowing the print service provider to move immediately to finishing.

ColorGATE has also been appointed as an HP Graphic Solutions Partner Gold level for successful achievement of HP Designjet RIP Certification status for HP Designjet printers together with 'HP Certification for Wide Format Printing with JDF Exchange' for both the HP Designjet and HP Scitex Industrial Printers.
