Prime Advantage Brings Exclusive Cost Savings Program to Candy Makers

CHICAGO, October 13, 2009 - Prime Advantage, the leading buying consortium for midsized manufacturers, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a new partnership with the National Confectioners Association (NCA). NCA, which has represented the candy, chocolate and gum industries since 1884, has selected Prime Advantage to provide an exclusive Cost Savings Program for its members, in order to provide them with leveraged savings programs on a variety of indirect goods and services that are needed to run their facilities and operate their businesses.

NCA selected Prime Advantage for its ability to provide competitive pricing, volume-based rebates and extensive value-added services to its members, allowing them to efficiently run more profitable manufacturing organizations.

"We're extremely happy to offer this service to our members. Prime Advantage does an excellent job of providing a cost reduction platform, through its ability to pool the buying power of hundreds of manufacturers, combined with its outstanding collection of suppliers that are dedicated to offering a lower cost structure and excellent service on goods and services," said NCA President Larry Graham. "This partnership offers NCA members a real competitive advantage."

As a Cost Savings Program provider, Prime Advantage is part of a select group of third party organizations serving NCA members, providing services that help NCA member companies to achieve important cost savings and efficiencies.

"We are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the top candy makers in North America, and look forward to seeing them form strong partnerships with our endorsed supplier network that should deliver both immediate and long-term benefits for their businesses," said Louise O'Sullivan, founder, president and CEO of Prime Advantage Corporation.

In addition to serving more than 700 North American manufacturers itself, Prime Advantage has offered similar cost savings programs to other industry associations, including the American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA), the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, and the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI).

Since its inception, Prime Advantage has returned more than $95 million in rebates and discounts to its members. These real savings are helping U.S. companies gain a powerful competitive advantage.
