PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 22, 2005 - Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE:ROH) today announced plans to immediately implement selling price increases of 10 cents per pound for methacrylate and specialty products sold in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) zone; 100 euros per metric ton in Europe.
The effects of Hurricane Katrina have exacerbated an already difficult situation with regards to raw material and energy-related costs. The current outlook is for these extraordinarily high costs to continue, across the globe, well into 2006.
