Polo Expands Again . . .
We are excited to announce that our Louisville, MS operation has expanded and relocated to a new building. On September 2, 2008, we began manufacturing operations in our new facility. We have increased our manufacturing operations by over 60%! Even in the current economy, we are poised for double digit sales growth this year.
At a little over 105,000 square feet, our new facility is nearly three times larger than our prior MS location and it is able to accommodate new equipment and future expansion. The new building will house sewing and peripheral operations production lines and warehousing for imported products. One advantage of the much larger space is having enough room for our brand new Lectra computerized material cutting and transfer system. Polo now has two Lectra cutting machines. Our Monticello, IA plant has used the Lectra system for several years now and has found it to be a very valuable tool. We are able to cut material faster, more accurately, and with less waste than ever before.
Polo employs 133 associates full time at our production facility in Louisville. Ten associates work in warehousing and the balance work in the office and in production. Since our business has experienced significant growth, we have continually added more associates over the past few years
