PMA to host March meeting in Michigan.

Metalformers to Meet in Pontiac in March



TROY, MI - March 3, 2008 - The Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) East Michigan District will host a meeting on Thursday, March 20, 2008, to provide metalformers with information on drawing and stretching advanced high-strength steels.

Speaker Art Hedrick, owner of the training and consulting firm Dieology, will focus on processing and troubleshooting methods used when forming and cutting high-strength materials such as advanced high-strength steel. During this program, topics covered will include understanding high-strength steel, drawing and stretching principles, and using processing aids. Mr. Hedrick is the author of the Die Science column in the Stamping Journal and on The Fabricator.com. He also is an instructor at General Motors University and has been the recipient of numerous training awards.

The meeting will begin on March 20 with registration at 9:30 a.m., with the presentation starting at 10:00 a.m. A networking lunch will be held at noon, followed by the remainder of the program, which will end by 4:00 p.m. The cost is $100 for PMA members and $125 for nonmembers.
