Plastics Equipment Supplier Establishes Joint Venture with UK Manufacturer
Precision AirConvey To Offer Plasmac Line Of Repelletizers
Newark, DE: Trim waste and scrap reclamation system developer Precision AirConvey (PAC), Newark, Del. (www.PrecisionAirConvey.com) has entered into a joint venture agreement with plastics recycling equipment manufacturer Plasmac Ltd., Aylesbury, England (www.Plasmac.co.uk). Precision AirConvey will offer the complete line of Plasmac repelletizing extruders in North America and will provide technical support, customer service and replacement parts. Plasmac repelletizers enable plastic film processors to capture edge trim and roll scrap, convert it to pellets and re-introduce it into the extrusion process.
The state-of-the-art line of equipment uses three different proprietary reprocessing technologies to deliver reliable, touch-screen operation at throughputs of up to 1,000 lbs/hr. with options for cutting, densifying and automating the process. This innovative Plasmac technology first attracted PAC CEO Tom Embley, P.E. to consider the joint venture. "As the prices of plastic resin and natural gas continue to climb, converting waste material into reusable material has never had more impact on the bottom line," says Embley.
