Plasti-Coil Announces Sale


Plasti-coil, Inc. located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin announces its sale to long-time Plastics executive Larry Austin of Walworth,WI. Austin spent over 30 years at Miniature Precision Components Inc., (MPC), as the Vice President of Finance. During his tenure, the company grew from $2 million in sales to over $180 million and won the prestigious Plastic News Processor of the Year Award in 2004. Austin stated that he is extremely happy to join the team at Plasti-coil and believes that his experience and prior background will be a great addition to the knowledgeable team already in place. The management group has been in place for a combined tenure that spans decades and specializes in tight tolerance molding. Austin said: "We have a very skilled team of engineers as well as a team of experienced production specialists. All of us are ready to assist our customers to achieve their goals." Plasti-coil was founded in 1985 by Craig and Ruth Ferguson and currently operates from its 40,000 sq. ft. molding facility located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. It currently has 20 molding machines ranging in size from 25 tons to 250 ton capacity. Plasti-coil can insert mold, over-mold and injection mold parts of all sizes and complexity.



Austin plans to grow the company by working with their existing customers and continue to be their preferred plastic supplier. "We want to be partners with our customers in any area that adds value to our partnership, to grow our business and create jobs in the United States," stated Austin.



The ownership change has given a new vibrant energy to the Plasti-coil team who have worked hard to maintain the tradition of producing high quality precision plastic products manufactured with best in class processes.
