PIRTEK Space Coast Opens New Location in Rockledge
Spousal team now owns what was previously a corporately operated location serving the Brevard County area
Rockledge, FL, USAÂ - June 28, 2016Â - PIRTEK Space Coast has opened a new location at 1265 U.S. 1 in Rockledge. Under Dan and Karin Ferretti, the spousal team that now owns and operates PIRTEK Space Coast, the facility will continue to serve the hydraulic hose maintenance and repair needs of the Brevard County area. Since 2002, the location operated as a corporate-run center.
The husband-and-wife team plans to pursue customers in a number of different industries on Florida’s Space Coast, including construction, the port and marine, defense, salt mining and transportation.
“The potential here is unlimited,” Dan Ferretti said. “It all depends on how much exposure you create for the business and raise its visibility.”
Dan Ferretti has a background in finance, contract and accounting services for major defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. A native of Long Island, NY, he has lived on the Space Coast 15 years. His wife, Karin, will continue in her role as the franchise development administrator at PIRTEK USA Corporate Headquarters.
“With my wife working for PIRTEK USA corporate and seeing how well other franchises did, I wanted a PIRTEK franchise of my own,” he said. “When the corporate office made this location available, we immediately raised our hands. The rest is history, as they say.”
Meeting the owners of other franchises and observing how they support one another helped clinch Dan Ferretti’s decision to move forward with purchasing the Space Coast location. “I had the opportunity to get to know some of the other owners-my impression was that they were very happy with the business,” he said.
Dan Ferretti grew up working for his father’s electrical business, but says he had thoughts of owning his own business as early as his teens. “I’ve always had the desire to lead my own group of employees and to go out, do something and make a difference,” he said. “I believe this is that opportunity.”
Karin Ferretti, CFE, is certified by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE). Also raised in Long Island, she has worked in franchise acquisition with PIRTEK for 14 years. “It’s such an interesting and unique business,” she said. “The key to success is to follow PIRTEK’s well-honed franchise business model. It’s as simple as that.”
She added that PIRTEK Space Coast has an advantage of a team already in place from the previous ownership. “It’s an established center and the existing team is phenomenal,” Karin Ferretti said.
Although the new location is open for business now, a special grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting is scheduled for June 24.
