Picture Head Accelerates DCI Mastering with Fuze

The US post production studio Picture Head embraces the DVS Fuze, a flexible solution for accelerated digital cinema delivery and stereoscopic workflows.
Hanover/Los Angeles. When Picture Head, a world-class Hollywood-based post production facility, decided to broaden its service portfolio to include stereoscopic work and DCI Mastering, they were tasked with finding the most efficient solution to enable these workflows within their existing infrastructure. The result of their search was the DVS Fuze: a powerful and robust solution, which processes 3D content just as easily as 2D material, and creates and encodes DCPs at lightning speed.
In accordance with DCI specifications, Fuze creates fast and secure 3D DCPs. An integrated wizard guides the user through each required step of the stereoscopic DCI Mastering process - including interleaving, encoding, encryption, and wrapping into MXF files. DVS's unique hardware accelerator accomplishes this whole process in real time. With Fuze, the editors at Picture Head have the control to perform precise quality checks at any stage of the workflow. In addition, the DVS system features a flexible cinema reel editing tool and enables scaling, color space conversion and encoding into various compressed formats.
