Pharsight's New Internship Program to Support Future Leadership in Modeling and Simulation Discipline

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 20: Pharsight Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: PHST) , a leading provider of software and strategic services for optimizing clinical drug development, today announced that it has accepted the first intern into a program designed to foster knowledge of modeling and simulation amongst graduate students doing clinical research in a variety of scientific disciplines. The first intern is a student working towards a PhD in Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota's College of Pharmacy.
Pharsight's internship program will be based at its Mountain View, CA headquarters. Interns will be trained and mentored by senior scientists on Pharsight's Strategic Consulting Services (SCS) team. They will learn advanced modeling and simulation techniques using Pharsight's cutting-edge software and will be tutored in consulting strategy. Pharsight will target emerging talent at the leading academic programs in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Chemistry, and Biostatistics. In addition to this new program dedicated to fostering emerging talent in the industry, the Company also provides free software to thousands of students and teachers in more than 800 pharmacy and medical schools worldwide.
