Pelco Hosting ONVIF IP Standards Development Meetings


Clovis, CA (December 2, 2010) - Pelco by Schneider Electric is pleased to announce that it will host a series of meetings of the Technical Committee and Technical Steering Committee of ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) at its Clovis, California location, December 7-10, 2010. Originally formed to create standards for interoperability in IP video security, ONVIF has recently established multiple working groups to develop a global standard for interoperability between network video products and physical access control systems.

Pelco is actively engaged in making integrated solutions possible and is a contributing member of ONVIF. "We recognize that the establishment and adoption of open standards is vital to the success and growth of the IP physical security industry," says Dave deLisser, Director of Integration for Pelco. "That's why we are actively participating in the efforts of ONVIF and other standards bodies. Emerging standards are a key part of our comprehensive embrace of open and integrated systems, along with our Partner First program, in which we are developing solutions with more than 250 integration partners."
