Patton Appoints Gentek as Certified Channel Partner for Canada

The new Patton-Gentek relationship makes Patton products readily accessible throughout Canada with benefits for enterprises, industrial networks and resellers.

GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND: Patton Electronics—US-manufacturer of UC, Cloud, and IoT-enabling solutions for carrier, enterprise, and industrial networks—announced today a new channel agreement with Gentek—a Canadian leader in the distribution of broadband, network, and highly-secure VoIP customer premise equipment (CPE).

Patton and Gentek have partnered to address the emerging connectivity and VoIP security challenges of All-IP and IoT networking in the Canadian marketplace by delivering Patton’s suite of cloud, server, and hardware-based solutions

Patton’s SmartNode™ VoIP and CopperLink™ Ethernet extender product lines are designed to deliver IP Security, legacy telephony integration (analog and ISDN), network demarcation, cloud connectivity, network extension, and IP end-point enablement.

“With the convergence of voice, data, video, and data networking, resellers and enterprise customers are increasingly challenged to find a partner that offers the unique set of competencies and capabilities to convert their UC dreams to realities,” said Sean Gerrity, Patton’s Sales Director for North America.

Gentek’s value-added resellers, channels partners and customers in the Canadian market will now have access to Patton’s complete line of Patton’s SmartNode™ VoIP gateways, enterprise session border controllers (eSBCs), and CopperLink™ Ethernet extension solutions throughout the Canadian marketplace.

“We are proud to represent Patton in the Canadian marketplace,” said Jeffery Freedman, Vice President of Marketing and Partner at Gentek. “SmartNode VoIP equipment is the ideal customer premise solution for Gentek partners that want to ease their business customers into SIP trunking and IP communications.”

Patton’s Trinity™ operating system facilitates IP migration, covering OSI layer 1 transport to layer 5 applications, which is supported by Patton’s Cloud for deployment, control, and license management.

“Patton gateways interoperate seamlessly with every telephony manufacturer in the business,” Freedman said. “The stability of SmartNode is world-renowned. US-based manufacturing with local sales and tech support were key factors in partnering with Patton.”

“Patton offers a unique set of competencies and capabilities,” said Mitchell Freedman, CEO and Partner at Gentek. “Award-winning SmartNode™ and CopperLink™ solutions enable our partners to realize their UC implementation requirements.”

“Patton is honored to partner with Gentek. This company boasts a rich 35-year history distributing products to the Canadian IT Industry,” Sean Gerrity continued. “Gentek prides itself on its product knowledge and working with best-of-breed product manufacturers.
