Panasonic Acquires TS Sports

Acquisition of high-end LED video display solutions company expands Panasonic's market reach, adds display fabrication capability

NEWARK, N.J. – Panasonic has acquired TS Sports, a Dallas, TX-based, privately-held electronic video board systems integrator specializing in state-of-the-art light-emitting diode (LED) display technology solutions. With the acquisition, Panasonic will benefit from TS Sports' industry expertise while integrating the company's in-house LED video display fabrication facilities and network of regionally-based technicians into the audio-visual business operations of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions Company.

"The acquisition of TS Sports is a sign of Panasonic's commitment to the market and the first in a series of planned initiatives designed to significantly grow our business," said Jim Doyle, President of Panasonic Enterprise Solutions. "Bringing more fabrication and engineering capabilities in-house will enable us to execute projects at all levels to better serve the diverse needs of our customers."

"We're thrilled with this opportunity to join the Panasonic team," stated Garry Waldrum, Chief Executive Officer of TS Sports. "Our partnership with Panasonic Enterprise Solutions has always been rooted in deep, mutual respect. Over time, it became clear that there were a lot of synergies between our organizations, including shared views on excellence, customer service and a similar passion for the business. Our strength as a full-service 'one-stop shop' is a great complement to Panasonic's technology and engineering expertise. It's a natural fit and the timing is right."

Panasonic Enterprise Solutions has already become an established brand in video board solutions for professional and NCAA Division I sports, entertainment and digital out of home. The company has received industry acclaim for installing some of the largest HD LED video boards in the world, including Guinness World Record-certified 'Big Hoss TV' at Texas Motor Speedway, the world's largest 4K ultra high-definition LED video board at Churchill Downs, the massive video board at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which was the largest in the world at the time it was built in 2011, one of the largest video boards in collegiate sports at Ohio State University and the renovation of Nasdaq's Market Site Tower display in Times Square.

Since its founding in 1997, TS Sports has completed more than 100 video board projects throughout the U.S., highlighted by more than 475 LED video display installations at sports and entertainment venues in 33 different states.
