Online Videos Demonstrate Pneumatic Control of Unwanted Motion in Dynamic Systems
Airpot introduces the first three in series of online technical product videos which illustrate pneumatic control of unwanted motion using Airpot dashpots, snubbers and air-bearing actuators.
Dynamic systems often produce unwanted motion and the need for control of velocity, time delay, falling mass, vibration, oscillation, over action and impact. Airpot's glass cylinder and graphite piston technology is used to control motion by pneumatic damping, actuating with air or vacuum, applying a precise force, for pumping or pulsing air, and to sense, indicate, or relieve pressure. The videos are 3-4 minutes long and graphically illustrate cushioning impact with an Airpot snubber device, the unique properties of the Airpel -AB zero friction air bearing actuator and the differences between pull and push damping.
