Ometric Announces Real-time, In-line Monitoring of Liquid Processes

COLUMBIA, S.C., March 8 -- Spectroscopy innovator Ometric Corporation announced today that its SpectrInline Processware(TM) has demonstrated real-time, in-line, instantaneous monitoring of liquid processes, using patented Multivariate Optical Computing(TM) (MOC(TM)) technology.
Ometric Corporation's SpectrInline Processware(TM) provides real-time, in- line control of production processes and final product testing for a wide variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agriculture, food and beverage, environmental, plastics, oil and gas, and homeland security.
In a live demonstration at PITTCON® 2006, Ometric's SpectrInline Processware(TM) will demonstrate real time detection of water in oil from concentrations varying between zero and two percent, with an accuracy of 99 percent and with a total measurement time of one-tenth of a second. This is just one example of SpectrInline Processware's(TM) performance in a general liquid phase application.
The ability to measure liquid processes and liquid blends, in-line and in real-time, is key to many industries for ensuring final quality of their products, as well as eliminating waste when process control depends upon long feedback times incurred in sample analysis.
