NPRA Board of Directors Elects Charles T. Drevna Association President



WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Board of Directors of NPRA, the National Petrochemical & Refiners Association, has elected Charles T. Drevna to serve as the Association's new President. Drevna currently serves as NPRA's Executive Vice President.

"Charlie has been an extremely effective leader for NPRA, and a strong advocate for our businesses during a time of increasing regulatory and legislative challenges," said James Mahoney, NPRA Chairman and Executive Vice President of Operations Excellence and Compliance for Koch Industries. "NPRA's Board is excited about the direction the Association will continue to move in with Charlie's leadership. Charlie will focus on enhancing the voice of NPRA on key issues impacting our companies and employees."

NPRA's incoming Chairman, Norman Phillips, Senior Vice President of Lyondell Chemical Company, also praised the Board's selection of Drevna, adding: "Charlie has been a positive force in the industry and the Association for many years. We are confident of continued success as he continues to lead the organization."

Drevna has more than 35 years of technical, business and public policy management experience in the refining, petrochemical and coal industries. Prior to joining NPRA in May 2002, he had served as Director, State and Federal Government Affairs for Tosco Corporation. Previously, Drevna held a variety of government affairs and public policy positions with Sun Company (now Sunoco) and its affiliates, including Vice President of Public Affairs for Sun Coal Company. Drevna received a B.S. in Chemistry from Washington & Jefferson College.

NPRA members include more than 450 companies, including virtually all US refiners and petrochemical manufacturers. Our members supply consumers with a wide variety of products and services used daily in their homes and businesses. These products include gasoline, diesel fuel, home heating oil, jet fuel, lubricants and the chemicals that serve as "building blocks" in making everything from plastics to clothing to medicine to computers.
