Nortech Completes Display Refit for Lockheed C130 Trainers
East Taunton, Massachusetts –Â Nortech Engineering is pleased to celebrate the completion of a large order for Lockheed Martin. Nortech Engineering was chosen to design a custom 19” rack mount industrial display to refit Lockheed Martin’s C130 aircraft training facilities across the country. The custom 19” TFT LCD display features a surface acoustic wave (SAW) touch screen, front mounted picture adjustment controls and a brand new LED backlight system for the LCD panel. The special backlight and dimming circuit also needed to pass Lockheed Martin’s night vision goggle (NVG) requirements. The Nortech design team was up to the challenge and the prototype passed smoothly. Shortly thereafter production began on the awarded contract.
