NORA 2007 Conference Announced
The 2007 NORA Annual Recycling Conference & Trade Show will be held November 7-9 at the Portofino Bay Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
The Portofino Bay Hotel, an AAA Four Diamond property, is a stunning recreation of the famed Italian seaside resort of Portofino, Italy. The hotel has been named to Conde Nast Traveler magazines Gold List of the Worlds Best Places to Stay and the only Orlando hotel named to Travel and Leisure magazines list of Top 500 Hotels in the U.S. and Canada. Nestled around a harbor, the buildings feature trompe l'oeil paintings that add to the authenticity of this luxurious resort.
Universal Studios Orlando, which is adjacent to the hotel, is the likely location for the 2007 NORA Closing Party on the evening of November 9th. NORA is undertaking a major fundraising effort to support having a significant portion of Universal Studios Orlando reserved exclusively for NORA attendees during the closing party.
According to NORA Executive Director Scott D. Parker, "The NORA Annual Conference is the liquid recycling industry's premier networking and education event. We are thrilled to be hosting our the conference at this amazing destination. Our expectations is that this will be a 'must-attend' event for member companies."
NORA has also begun a major initiative to significantly expand the size of it trade show to over 40 exhibitors. Planning for conference education sessions has already begun.
Information on registering, booking a room and reserving an exhibit space will be released soon. The sleeping rooms will be available at a startling low NORA group rate of just $175 a night. The market rate for the rooms during that time is in the mid $300 range. The rate will be offered three days before and after the event on a space available basis.
