Nexergy Launches Portable Power Seminar Series

COLUMBUS, OH (USA) - Nexergy, a leading designer, integrator, and manufacturer of battery packs and chargers, announces a multi-city technical seminar devoted exclusively to the technical issues surrounding battery pack and charger design. The seminar series is open to designers of portable electronics, and covers all aspects of battery pack and charger design, including performance and safety. With more than 20 years of experience, Nexergy has developed portable power sources for a variety of applications that enable electronic products to be more dependable, smaller, lighter, and longer running.
Led by Chris Turner, Director of Battery Technology, and Lon Schneider, Director of Product Development, attendees will receive a detailed presentation on all issues related to designing the optimal battery pack and charger, including:
o Battery cell selection and cell supplier overview
o Battery cell validation testing and performance
o RoHS
o Battery shipping regulations
o Lithium safety and battery safety parameters
o Fuel gauging
o Battery pack production testing
o Battery charging and chargers
Recent news regarding the safety of Li-ion battery packs will be explored, with an emphasis on safety circuits, validation and testing, cell balancing, and the repercussions of counterfeit battery cells. Attendees will also be given the opportunity for one-on-one conversations with the Nexergy engineers to inquire about specific portable power applications.
