Sheffield, MA-August 11, 2006-Sheffield Plastics Inc., A Bayer MaterialScience Company, has announced what is believed to be the largest and most technologically-advanced polycarbonate sheet manufacturing line ever built. The new sheet production line located in Sheffield, MA utilizes "state of the art" process technology, and can produce sheet that offers superior optical qualities.
This major capital equipment investment exemplifies Sheffield Plastics and Bayer MaterialScience commitment to bringing leadership to the polycarbonate sheet industry with the latest technology and Best-in-Class products. The new line is fully operational, significantly increasing manufacturing capacity to assure a steady supply of products to a diverse and growing market. Significant and ongoing research will result in several new products introductions that achieve industry-leading performance.
